Mr. Moore is president of Moore & Associates, an international consulting firm engaged in providing a range of market research and strategic services to the global paper recycling industry. Prior to his many years as a consultant, he held a series of positions in the solid waste, paper and recycling industries.  These included founder and vice president of Paper Recycling International (a joint venture of Stone Container) and the first director of recycling for Waste Management, Inc. At Moore & Associates he has served over 250 clients on more than 450 projects. Mr. Moore’s knowledge base includes all aspects of the worldwide supply and demand of recovered paper.

Ing. H.D. Hitzert, was first introduced into the paper recycling industry in 1992. After a career as commercial manager in a semi-governmental company, managing the paper recycling loop for dutch councils, he joined the Reukema Recycling Group in 2004 as managing director within the Reukema Paper Group. In March of this year H.D. became Manager of Huhtamaki Paper Recycling a leading waste paper and cardboard recycler.

Cees van Berkel has worked in the recovered paper business since 1964 for family business and thereafter for companies on the stock exchange, former Buhrmann-Tetterode (Netherlands) and Veolia (France) as managing director and international director respectively and has had his own family business since 2000.


Henri Vermeulen

Henri Vermeulen was born in 1965 and is by profession a lawyer.  He has been in the recovered paper business since 1992 and is now Vice President of recovered paper at Smurfit Kappa.  He is in charge of buying 100.000 tons weekly and his own recovered paper facilities.  Henri is also active in a wide range of functions in recovered paper organizations and producer responsibility schemes throughout Europe.


Merja Helander

Merja Helander, was educated in Finland and after commercial studies received Executive MBA at Helsinki School of Economics and Business administration in 2000. She worked in the Finnish paper industries’ two associations, Finnpap and Converta in 1972-1987 and in Paperinkeräys Oy as director in charge of recovered paper procurement, sales, logistics and international trade in 1987-2010. She was appointed as Director, Fibre Recycling Business of L&T – Lassila-Tikanoja as of 15 February 2011 and  President and CEO of SKT – Suomen Keräystuote, a subsidiary of L&T as of 1 April 2011. She is President of ERPA (European Recovered Paper Association) and Vice President of Paper Division of BIR – Bureau of International Recycling.


Niels van Binsbergen

Niels enjoyed an international upbringing on 3 different continents, leading to an interest for global business. After a Business Studies education at the University of Groningen (the Netherlands) and a wine study in Bordeaux (France), Niels worked for 7 years as a wine buyer and in parallel trading. Since 2002 Niels has been in the Recovered Paper industry for America Chung Nam BV. He joined as Marketing Representative into an organisation of only 3 people. Since joining ACN (Europe), Niels became the Managing Director, responsible for the European offices of Rotterdam and Manchester. Within that same period ACN became a much larger organisation, with activities in every major European country and is the largest exporter of Recovered Paper to China.
